The Museum holds an extensive collection of Olympic materials.
The Library includes both final reports and result books from Winter Olympiads along with Olympic Winter Sports Reference Books. Collections also include photographs from the III Olympic Winter Games in 1932 and the 1980 Olympic Winter Games. The archives room houses 750 linear feet of materials from the President of the III Olympic Winter Games Committee, Godfrey Dewey along with the documents from the 1980 Lake Placid Olympic Organizing Committee.
The Archives is open to researchers Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the year. Please email or call 518-302-5326 to make an appointment.
Photography and filming are permitted once your media representative has signed the Media Agreement form. Any and all responsibility of questions of copyright that may arise from the use of materials will be assumed by the applicant. In cases where copyright is held by a third party, written permission must be secured by the applicant from that party or their agent and must accompany the application.
